Biography

Andy Lowry has practiced litigation over 20 years, focusing on motion and appellate practice in a wide variety of cases, from Medicare reimbursement and Medicaid fraud to toxic torts and slip-and-falls. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Mississippi as well as in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

A longtime resident of Madison County, Mississippi, Andy received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Millsaps College in 1991 and the Master of Arts degree in English from Mississippi State in 1995, going on to receive his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2002.

Besides his private practice, Andy has also had the privilege to serve as law clerk both to the late Associate Justice Kay B. Cobb of the Supreme Court of Mississippi and to District Judge Daniel P. Jordan III of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. In the latter instance, Andy had the opportunity to assist the court with criminal and civil cases, including a Voting Rights Act challenge to Mississippi's legislative redistricting.
